eMarketing and eSymposium....

www.discoverireland.com/gb etc, Tourism Ireland’s consumer website, promotes the island of Ireland as a holiday destination on 27 websites worldwide, in 14 different languages.

It features information from a database of over 30,000 tourism products including accommodation, activities festivals, attractions and events provided by Fáilte Ireland and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and is updated daily. Without doubt, it is the most dynamic and comprehensive all-island tourism database ever.

Feedback from recent usability tests involving consumers in top markets has been extremely positive while also highlighting some areas for evolution such as the mapping function on the site and the offers section. These enhancements are currently under way. We are working on a new section for maps with drill-down to town level, full weather maps and, over time, the ability to plot places and properties of interest on the map. The offers section will provide a comprehensive range of Irish and overseas offers. We will continuously evolve our website in line with emerging trends, consumer needs and industry priorities.

DATE FOR YOUR DIARY

eSymposium - 12th October 2006

We hope you will join us for our eSymposium in Croke Park Conference Centre, Dublin, on Tuesday 12th October 2006.

At the event you will hear the latest insights on how customers use the net for holiday planning and booking, about new ways to reach consumers online, opportunities to piggy-back on Tourism Ireland’s websites and eMarketing campaigns and how to promote your business in the e-world.

The eSymposium will also showcase successful eMarketing campaigns and provide practical advice for your company’s website and how to help consumers overseas find it.  Further information on the eSymposium and other Tourism Ireland events this Autumn will be sent to you shortly.

For more information visit www.eSymposium.ie or telephone: Dublin 4763416.
