U.S. News & World Report Ranks Fox Undergraduate RMI Program in Top 5
In its 2007 rankings, U.S. News & World Report ranked the undergraduate Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) program of Temple University’s Fox School of Business and Management the fifth-best program in the nation.

Cummins to Lead Revitalization of The Fox School’s Advanta Center for Research in Financial Institutions
This fall, professor of risk management and insurance, and finance J. David Cummins will be joining the Advanta Center for Research in Financial Institutions at The Fox School of Business as director, and reenergizing the center with new initiatives.
The Advanta Center conducts research in financial institutions and promotes the study of financial services within The Fox School. Carrying out its research mission, the center also publishes the journal Risk Management and Insurance Review and the Journal of Risk Finance, and has helped a number of Ph.D. students from the risk, insurance and healthcare management, and finance departments by granting them doctoral assistantships.

Risk & Insurance Fraternity Receives Bowers Award for 7th Year
The Sigma Chapter has done it again and brought home the prestigious Edison L. Bowers Award for seven years in a row — 11 out of the past 13 years! The Bowers Award was given at the Gamma Iota Sigma Annual International Management Conference held in October 2006 in Indianapolis.
The Bowers Award was created to recognize one Chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma that demonstrates an exceptional, well-rounded and organized program each academic school year.
